Happiness Wizards.

Coming back from my week long vacation I found myself eager to return to work.  I was eager & excited no hints of anxiety or dread, of course I had a long list of tasks to complete but I was more than thrilled to jump back into it.  I shared this phenomenon with a few colleagues, and they too are eager and enthusiastic to return to work whether it be from the weekend or weeklong vacation.  People wanting to return to work, what kind of wizardry is this? No fellow crusaders, not magic, but happiness.  We want to return to work, because we are happy with our jobs.  As I dug into this “happiness=wanting to be at work” theory I stumbled across none other than our pal, and author of the Happiness Advantage Shawn Achor.  Mr. Achor found that happier employees have higher function brains, are more positive, and tend to be more creative and better at solving problems.  The happier employees are 12% more productive than the average worker, and the unhappy workers are 10% less productive.  So be continue to be happy my fellow crusaders!

Outside Best Companies & Riley Curry is my spirit animal: Part II

This is the last Wednesday that your loop post will have anything to do with Outside Magazine's Best Companies survey, I promise. As of Monday we were 67% completed...which means there are a few stragglers who haven't yet submitted their survey [this is where last week's Riley Curry "I see you" Vine would come in handy].

The survey is due this Friday, but let's do our best to get everything submitted before then to avoid last minute rushing. There's been quite a bit of leg work to do leading up to this survey, so I would realllllyyyyy appreciate anyone who hasn't yet completed the survey to spend just 15 minutes to practice key #6 and get 'er done today :D

Thank you all in advance!
