This thing is awesome! Quality materials, sturdy craftsmanship. Easily the best feeling/fitting belt I've ever owned. The ratcheting is SO much nicer than a pin in holes. Hopefully I'm never stranded in the woods, but if I am, I'll still b able to cut stuff, light my path, open bottles, and build a fire.

I am deciding to write this review now as I feel I have had it long enough to give a proper review. I have had my Survival Belt for a decade now. I carry a firearm, so having a belt that doesn’t LOOK “tactical” so I can wear it with a suit but yet doesn’t deform under the extra weight of a firearm is near impossible. Literally a decade later and this is still a daily wear belt, with no deformity. I just bought my 12 yr old a Slidebelt (not the Survival as he can’t carry a knife to school….) as I know even as teen it will still last him forever. I literally won’t ever buy another belt other than Slidebelts.

I order my first survival buckle in 2017, now I have 4 buckles all five color belts, so now my happy dilemma is either waiting for the pro to come back or try the compact buckle. I know the compact will be great because this is just a phenomenal product. I wear my survival belts everyday, In fact I feel very uncomfortable without it. The belt brings a certain comfort that I always have a light, defense, and strength of the strap. I believe to be personally resilient and sustainable this belt combination brings certainty to compliment a fit mind, body, spirit. If you are outside alot whether work or play like me, this belt is a great addition. I tell everyone I can about this product all the time and those that have purchased it, are very happy and then understand why I like it so much. Great Job Slidebelts!!! One last note I have your regular buckles to get through airport security. TSA took one of mine several years ago so learned my lesson.

It is OK. There are small screws you need to undo before you insert the belt into the buckle and a clasp with teeth as extra security when you first connect the belt and buckle. The problem I had was I undid one of the screws too far and it took me a long time to re-insert the screw. The tool that was supplied really didn't work well with the patterned screw head. Also, the teeth on the clasp did not dig into the belt material, so the clasp remains semi-open.
