The back of every leather, vegan, or canvas SlideBelt has markings to indicate where to cut for one’s waist size.
Determine your waist size and add two inches. Since sizing varies across brands, we recommend cutting the strap two sizes larger than your waist size, and then reducing the length as necessary.
Using a good, sturdy pair of scissors, cut the strap at the size previously determined.
Attach the buckle by clamping the trap door down on the cut end of the strap. The teeth on trap door will secure the buckle to the strap.
Try on your SlideBelt. If it is still too long for your liking, detach the buckle from the strap and cut again. Repeat until your SlideBelt hugs your waist just like you want.
If you are having difficulty detaching the buckle from the unfinished, cut end of the strap, try using a dull object to pry open the trap door. Or grab one of our nifty Buckle Removal Tools!

Quality made, the end easily lifts up the latch holding the leather to the buckle, and the notch lets you lift the latch fully open. The tool is smooth and comfortable in your hand, with no damage to the latch.
You will no longer need a screw driver or something from you kitchen drawer that can slip and hurt you or cause damage to your quality buckle. Great tool for old or young persons. It's a great tool for the price, I wish I had ordered one with my first buckle.
Works like a charm. Although the buckles can be changed without this removal tool, I wouldn't want to do it. And, just adjusting the initial length with the same buckle requires several times on-and-off. With the removal tool, it's easy to do. Without the removal tool, your fingers will be sore. So glad I ordered this since I ordered 2 buckles for the same belt, but would recommend getting one even for one buckle.
This tool is very good for its intended purpose. It is well made with high quality material. The only negative is that it doesn’t fit well on the Slide-Belt hangers hook. I am not a keychain person, and it would be great if i could store it on the Slide-Belt hanger for storage.
