Looking Forward

Normally my weekends are super adventurous but for once I took it easy and I decided to relax. And what better way to relax than starting Season 2 of Ozark on Netflix? (If you don’t know what show this is, I highly suggest you watch it!) Don’t worry no spoilers here, but it’s VERY good. Then I was curious as to what shows/movies would be coming out next year, so I did a little research for you guys and this is what I’ve found. Avengers 4: May 4, Aladdin: May 24, Charlie’s Angels: June 7, Toy Story 4: June 21, Spiderman-Far From Home: July 5, Lion King (Live Action): July 19, IT Chapter 2: Sept. 6, Joker: Oct. 4, Wonder Woman 1984: Nov. 1, Frozen 2: Nov. 27, Star Wars Episode IX: Dec. 20. And tv show: Stranger Things Season 3 AND Game Of Thrones Final Season! Looking forward to a few more relaxing weekends next year to enjoy these movies and shows!

We Can't All Be Superman

I so often find myself with a mound of daily "to do's"- run to the grocery store, do a load of laundry, fix dinner and meal prep for the week, help oldest with homeschooling, deep clean the bathroom, take back recycling, squeeze in daily walk on the way to take the kids to the park, swing by the library..the list goes on. My biggest issue is, I try to get it all done in one day. Trying to get it all done in one day can already be a huge hill to climb, now add two tiny humans and a beard to the mix, and it can quickly become overwhelming.
There are going to be times we can't do everything and that's okay!

Unforgettable Sunrise

Over the holiday weekend my fiancé and I took a road trip to Portland. As excited as we were for our first visit to Portland, we decided to take some time and explore Southern Oregon. One of our stops was catching the sunrise over Crater Lake at Mount Mazama.

Mount Mazama is a volcano that collapsed on itself after a massive eruption approximately 7,700 years ago, forming the caldera that Crater Lake now occupies. Since there are no inflowing streams, Crater Lake is fed solely by rain and snow and according to the National Park Service it is the cleanest and clearest large body of water in the world.

Portland is a super cool city but watching the sun peek over the clouds and shine on the deepest lake in the United States wins for the highlight of the trip.
