Did you know that today is George Washington's actual birthday.  February 22, but observed as Presidents Day on the Third Monday in February (February 18, 2019).  Washington's Birthday officially honors the life and work of George Washington, the first president of the United States.  Presidents' Day also commemorates past presidents of the USA.   Ironically, this guaranteed that the holiday would never be celebrated on Washington's actual birthday, as the third Monday in February cannot fall any later than February 21.  

Last week, Kali provided some great tips on how to vacation on a budget. Not only was it convincing (I booked a Norwegian Air flight!), but it was also very informative. I think the world is sending me messages that I haven't taken a vacation in a while and need to because I found a great Twitter thread titled Flying tips from someone who travels a lot with advice for handling long flights. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a novice jet-setter, these simple snippets of info might save you.

These were a few of my favorite tips:

• "Bring anti-bacterial wipes for the table"
• "Wear a jacket with zipper pockets (Columbia). Makes it extremely easy getting through security. Put all pocket items (wallet keys phone) and zip them shut. Easy to toss your computer in backpack throw on jacket and proceed on. Less stress repacking at gate."
• "Being patient, smiley & friendly go a long way."

Safe travels! ✈️

There are some amazing people doing some amazing things here at SB HQ. Unfortunately, we can get wrapped up in our own worlds and miss what is happening around us, so today I'll share what my day will look like and you can learn more about what it is like to be a Paid Media Strategist at Slidebelts.

First thing I will do when I get in this morning is peak at the weekend's sales. After that, I'll review my Asana tasks and see what is on the horizon for the week. Next, I'll brave my emails. 

Later in the day, I'll pour over the President's Days sale campaigns. I'll review the performance of the different ads and see what performed the best. After that, I'll discuss the results with the rest of the team. 

Towards the end of the day, the Paid Media team will have a Strategy Sauce where we talk about a new idea or plan.
