Cherished Traditions Fri, Dec 13, 2019
Happy Friday, Crusaders!
When the holiday season comes around, two of my cherished traditions with the family is our themed Christmas eve party along with our friendly gingerbread house-building competition. The annual traditions started 13 years ago when all the cousins wanted to bring the gathering up another level — some of the themed parties, we've done in the past: Ugly Sweater Party, Christmas pajamas, Sports Christmas, Flannel Party, Disneyland Christmas. For the gingerbread house-making competition, we divide the participants into teams. After an hour of building, we reconvene and let the judges select the winners and award prizes.
This year's party theme was picked out by my little nephew Ethan. He wants a Dinosaur Christmas.
