My most memorable summer was studying abroad in Korea the summer of 2012. It was my first time visiting the country and also my first time traveling alone. While classes ran 2 to 3 hours long and stacked on top of one another, we were lucky enough that they were only held Monday-Thursday as it was a summer program. This means we always had a three day weekend to explore the city and experience as much as possible. From trying chopped up live octopus, getting in trouble shooting fireworks at the beach to staying up until 6AM watching the 2012 London Summer Olympics opening ceremony, I am glad that I had this once in a lifetime opportunity to study abroad during my college days.
