Good People and News Crews

I've hijacked Theo's Loop day to update you guys on a few exciting things...

First and foremost, I'm really proud to announce that we'll be sending a total of $475 to Direct Relief for victims of the Louisiana flood! This total includes all employee donations and the matched employer contributions from the company. For a relatively small team located far from Louisiana, this is an amazing contribution for a community to which none of us has ties. It makes me that much more proud to work with a group of people so willing to help those in need. Thank you, sincerely, for contributing a percentage of your hard earned money to people who desperately need anything they can get - that money will do so much good. Thanks, team - I appreciate all of you!

Secondly, Gabrielle Karol from ABC 10 News will be here at 10:00am on Friday morning with a crew to do a story on our INC 500 ranking and our overall awesomeness. It's always exciting to be recognized and the ABC 10 crew's visit on Friday will be a fun way to kick off the weekend. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up so you can wear your best t-shirt on Friday :P

Preparation

"The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today."

It's hard to believe the holiday season is just around the corner, but it is and with it will come one of our busiest times of the year. Everything we are doing today is laying the groundwork for our success down the road. I would add in some more, but the below Amazon quote from a customer was already pretty long, but too awesome not to use today!

Chalk It Up!

 Happy Friday Crusaders,

Labor Day weekend is here. Are you ready to get out and enjoy the three-day weekend? One of the fun events that I like to check out during this time of the year is the annual Chalk It Up Festival in Midtown Sacramento. The event takes place at Fremont Park located at 16th & Q Street. Chalk It Up is celebrating its 26th year with a great gathering of music, food, activities and incredible chalk art that features over 200 sidewalk paintings created at the festival by local artists. This is a free event that benefits children's arts education and art activities in the Sacramento area. To find out more about the event, please go to  chalkitup.org.

Hope to see you out there. Cheers!
