Good morning, team.
Things are progressing quickly in the past month and with the holidays just a bit away there won't be any slowing down.
Let's make sure our systems are locked down and ready to take on those order rushes. Keep your eyes open for inefficiencies and earn some Kudos cards so that we have the best chance of success as summer winds down (endless in my mind, but I promise the calendar will tell you that it does).
Cheers to continued growth and innovation!
Sometimes it's hard to get out of bed in the morning with the positive attitude and determination it takes to succeed. It's also not easy to go to bed every single night feeling satisfied with the amount of productivity done throughout the day. It's extremely easy to get distracted from one's goals and say, "Well, it can just get done tomorrow, right?"
My attitude and overall work ethic level starts when I wake up, not during lunch or when I get home from work. I remind myself each morning when I wake up, to start the day right with positive thoughts and a "get-r-done" attitude before work. When I do that, my productivity never disappoints and I can feel good about the day, that it wasn't wasted.
Good job, Connor!
10. Swim upstream.
Go the other way. Ignore the conventional wisdom. If everybody else is doing it one way, there's a good chance you can find your niche by going in exactly the opposite direction.
This is #10 on Sam Walton's list of 10 rules for building a business and I think it pretty much sums up a big component of our success. There will always be businesses that will just copy and follow and achieve some level of temporary success, but you don't get to be #151 on the Inc 5000 list by doing that.
I'm certain I wasn't the only one last night watching the news and feeling proud of the company that I work for and lucky that I was going to get to come to work today with this awesome team. Let's keep swimming upstream and innovating and succeeding together as a team!
