An "Ode" to Post-It Notes Fri, Mar 10, 2017
I'm very fond of post-it notes. I love that they are vibrant and sticky and I really love that they are small enough that I don’t feel like I’m killing a forest if I use a few throughout the day. If you’ve ever visited my desk, you’ve probably seen at least a few hanging from my computer screen.
But the thing I adore most about sticky notes is tearing them up - which is why I document and then obliterate small, actionable tasks on them to complete throughout the day. The same deep satisfaction as you may find in a flying unicorn streaming across your asana screen (see Gabby if you don’t have that function enabled) is how I feel about making colorful confetti out of sticky notes in my trash can.
Strange as it may be, moral of the story here is “you do you” today. If it’s listening to your hipster music or making endlessly bulleted lists in your notebook or requesting yoga mats for the break room (find them now by the tv) -- whatever will make this a wonderful and productive Friday for you, do it.
...And if anyone has a problem with that, send them to me..I’ll throw confetti at them.
