This past weekend I went back home to visit family. It was a joy spending quality time with my mom, brother, two nephews, and two nieces. It's been on my heart lately to increase my mentoring and attentiveness to my 13 year old and 11 year old nephews as they venture into their teenage years. I never had a male role model to help me navigate those confusing yet defining years so I make sure I do my best to give them what I did not have.

I encourage everyone to take time to appreciate your loved ones and mentor those younger than you whenever you have the opportunity.

Drew Brees became the NFL's all-time passing leader on Monday night. Brees broke Peyton Manning's record of 71,940 career passing yards with a 62-yard touchdown pass to rookie receiver Tre'Quan Smith in the second quarter of last nights game against Washington.

I hope everyone is enjoying their three day weekend! Only 23 days left til Halloween! I personally love Halloween and took full advantage of the long weekend to put up spooky decorations while watching my favorite Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus! I grew up watching this movie and I definitely suggest everyone to watch it to get them into the Halloween spirit 👻
