I got to say, my best costume to date has to be Jigsaw from the movie Saw. It was pretty spot on. The best part is that I accidentally had everything on hand including the suit, the red bow tie, the white gloves, and the red tricycle. The only thing I had to get was the mask. I was able to do a lot with very little and those are my favorite type of costumes. I had a lot of fun dressing up as Jigsaw. Riding the tricycle around the building at work and making some people laugh was definitely a plus!
I'm just really glad the tricycle didn't give up on me.
I’m not really a fan of Halloween (except for the candy part)... I’m not big on anything spooky, and I always just want to skip it and head straight for Thanksgiving 🤷♀️. But I do LOVE me some fall 🍁
Growing up in this area has been great because fall is SO beautiful here! The trees change colors, the air is crisp, and I love windy stormy nights. It isn't officially fall though until you head up Apple Hill 🍎 If you've never been before, Apple Hill is essentially just an explosion of fall. There’s farm upon farm full of apple orchards, apple donuts, pies, apple cider, gourds…. the list goes on and on. Traffic is crazy on weekends, but if you can get up there early before the crowds, you can stuff your face with apple donuts to your heart's content. Every year when I was younger, my mom would buy a giant box of apples so we could make homemade applesauce/apple crisp throughout the season. So good with vanilla ice cream on top 🙌
All in all, Apple Hill = Fall. I need to take my own advice and get up there! 🍎🍩
I’m not currently much of a pet person. But, I’m told that I BEGGED my parents for a turtle when I was turning 3 and they delivered. I have no idea how I decided I wanted one at 3 years old...I remember taking Pokey out of his tank and following him around the kitchen floor for fun. When it came time for Show-And-Tell at preschool, I showed him. My dad strapped his tank into the back of the truck to transport him, but when we came home he was forgotten. Sadly, a few hours later, my dad had to break the news to me that my turtle was fried, magnifying glass style in his glass tank. :( I laugh now, but I’m pretty sure I was really sad and my dad probably felt terrible. I still claim turtles as my favorite animal though!
