My hopes for 2020

2019 came and went and although not everything went as planned, for the most part, it was a memorable year and I hope to have another this year!

This year, I hope I can continue to travel, I hope I can continue to visit my family as much as possible, I hope my Giants give me something to cheer for next season and definitely hope the Dodgers don't break my heart again, I hope to try new baking recipes (shout-out to my Secret Santa for their help on this one), and I hope to continue to challenge myself both inside and outside of work.

Happy 2020, everyone!!

2020 is Graduation Year!

There’s actually quite a bit I’m looking forward to in 2020...but the biggest one is that I’m GRADUATING NURSING SCHOOL! Woot woot!! It’s still a ways away, I graduate in December 2020, but I’m hoping time goes by fast! I am hoping to be a pediatric or critical care nurse, but we will see what happens. :) That’s the biggest thing planned for 2020, so it’s gonna be a great year, if I survive the school part! :)

Go Easy On Me, 2020 🙏

Well, for those of you unaware (that should be no one) 2019 was a ca-raaazy year for SlideBelts, and I really feel like I grew a lot professionally throughout the year. Literally from January consistently all the way to December, there were new and bigger hurdles than I had ever faced before. (I know this applies to many of us by the way, not just me). So, I was very much looking forward to 2020, hoping it would bring a fresh start and would rejuvenate me and prepare me for another year.

Well, maybe I hoped a little too hard! Turns out a fresh start was just around the corner for me, but more in my personal life. It was only in November that we found out we were moving in December, to a place neither of us had even heard of, so 2020 has been a little hectic so far, but I really am looking forward to so much this year. It’s always exciting moving to a new place. Besides the fact that a 7 minute drive turned into a 40 minute one from getting lost trying to find Trader Joe's yesterday, I’m looking forward to meeting new people, finding new local haunts, and exploring the surrounding area with Austin. It’s not an adventure that I particularly expected or asked for, but maybe those are the best kind? 🤷‍♀️
