Get Fit at Work?!

I sit at my desk all day every day, which leaves my body feeling tired and lazy from the lack of movement. Here are some pretty awesome stretches and exercises I found that have helped:

Stretches –

- Sit up tall and drop your right ear down towards your right shoulder (you don’t have to touch it!) and hold for a few seconds and repeat for the left side.

- Interlace your fingers and reach up towards the sky, as high as you can … keeping your palms facing up towards the ceiling.

- Raise both shoulders up towards your ears and hold for a few seconds and release. Repeat a few times for good measure.

- Bring your hands behind your back, press your palms together, sit up tall and hold for 5–10 seconds.

- With a bent knee, lift your right leg up and grab it with your arms and pull it in as close to your chest as you can. Hold for 5–10 seconds and make sure and do it on the left side, too.

- Extend your right arm over your head and reach out as far as you can to the left and gently bend over. Hold for a few seconds and do it the other way.

These next exercises are for the fearless:

Exercises –

- Walk/Jog/Run in place for 30–45 seconds, 3–5 times. This one is as simple as it sounds. Stand up from your chair and get to it. Anyone can do this one, you are in control of the intensity based on the pace you choose.

- Squats - From your chair, stand up, sit back down and repeat. Simple!

- Calf Raises - Stand up behind your chair and hold on for support. Raise your heels off the floor until you are standing on your toes. Slowly lower yourself back to the floor.

Remember to have fun and listen to your body!

Photoshoot Time!

As many of you know, we are preparing for our Spring/Summer photo shoot! (Some of you might have seen the models yesterday while they were here for their fitting!) We will be doing it right here in Sacramento and will be shooting Thursday and Friday! Can't wait to show everyone the imagery we come up with, and I want to thank the rest of the C-Team for all their hard work! The time is almost here!

Differences in SlideBelts Leather Grades

Full-Grain Leather

Starting with the “top dog”, full-grain leather comes from the very top layer of the hide where all the tightly-packed grain is. This is where you will find unique imperfections, scrapes, and scars in the leather. As time goes on, it will develop a beautiful patina and change with you as you both age. Thick and sturdy, this SlideBelt would be great for that everyday belt.

Top-Grain Leather

This premium leather is made from the split layer with all the imperfections removed. This second-tier leather is very malleable and easy to work with, making it great for SlideBelts wallets and belts. This leather has a smooth finish and is more stain resistant than full-grain leather. Being the most common of leathers, any top-grain ratchet belt from SlideBelts will be easy to match.

Genuine Leather

Genuine leather is understood to be the third tier of leather grade. It is the last level of product made with real leather, but usually has an artificial coating. These are generally a lower price and don’t last as long as the two premium leathers mentioned before. If you are skeptical about a ratchet-style belt, a genuine leather SlideBelt is the best place to start.
