Winter Weather & Citrus Plants

Morning all!

If you're like me and are attempting at having a bountiful garden then keep reading :)

During this time of year is when citrus trees are at their most vulnerable due to the climate shift, you may notice their growth spurts come to a halt as they go dormant. To keep them stable, water them like normal even though the soil will freeze this will protect the roots. If you can pull them in for additional shelter such as the covering of the porch then even better, if not, simply putting up a makeshift fabric or cardboard surrounding can save them from those bitter breezes. It doesn't seem like much, but these little efforts can seriously save your trees and I've unfortunately had to learn that the hard way, not this year though! I have a tiny tiny grapefruit tree that Groot would probably be best friends with if they met and I'm not losing him this year especially since he sprouted from a fresh grapefruit, check him out!
