I’ve been lucky to have strong marriage role models throughout my life. My parents met in high school and have been together for 25 years, both sets up grandparents were together for 50+ years! (Wow!). However there were no crazy “how they met stories”. The closest thing I have is my Dads “proposal” story.

My Mom had caught wind that my Dad had bought her a ring. When he went over to see her my Mom would NOT let him in the house, yelling in excitement through the window until finally he proposed on the porch with her in the window. (This story describes my mom really well). They later went to Capitola and staged a “real proposal” with a photographer and props, but the actual story will always make us laugh and remind the family who the boss is! 

Here’s one set of grandparents (the ones I have tattooed on my arm for those at HQ). Married for 50+ years!
