If you haven’t voted yet, or even thought about voting, here are 3 steps to help.

Step one: Make sure you’re registered.

Step two: Do your research.

You’ve still got time to do your research,  polls  are open until 8 p.m. today. There are plenty of voter guides out there that you can find with a quick search. Here's the Sacramento Bee’s voter guide to get you started.

Step three: Vote.

All registered voters should have received ballots via mail. Those mail-in ballots need to be postmarked on or before Election Day, or dropped off at a Sacramento County drop box or vote center before 8 p.m.

If you prefer to cast your vote the in person you can find voting centers in your area with a search.
