Let’s see...besides the usual spring activities that I’m sure we’re all excited about like getting outdoors, getting some vitamin D, hiking, exploring, etc., one thing I really enjoy about March is St. Patrick’s Day! Growing up, my Ma always told us we were Irish on her side. (Turns out, thanks to 23andme, we discovered most of her ancestors were actually from just across the way in the UK). Nevertheless, she always went all out for St. Patrick’s Day, including decorations that would usually pop up the day the Valentine’s ones came down, food, drink, and pinching on the day of if we didn’t come out of our rooms in green attire as kids. And we were merciless about it too. 🤏
Nowadays, it’s just a fun day and excuse to wear my Guinness shirt, make Irish soda bread from scratch (if you’ve never made it before, it’s SO GOOD), and eat corned beef til I can eat no more.
