I think this is a great idea! The only issue I have is that you have to remove the belt to utilize 66% of its functionality. I would love it and pay for it, if there were a way to either make some kind of "break away" tab??? or a way for the housing holding the tools to be detached without losing the belt part of it.
Just a thought.... definitely not hating. Probably going to order one for a few people as x-mas gifts this year but just a thought as I think about some of the survival scenarios/trainings I have taken part in over the years.
Thank you for the review Christopher, we're always looking to improve what we have and we're always planning for the next improvement. We appreciate your feedback and you can look forward to the next design in the future!
I work in the “Deep South” (below I-10) it’s hot and humid, leather nylon etc belts and your pants get wet and stretch with perspiration., and movement. The Slide Belt with its 1/4 inch increment latches and impregnated construction will not stretch, and keep your trousers up in place if need be will snug up in a single tug! Seems like $$$ yet worth it
We're glad you found our Survival belt! It can absolutely perform and outlast in environments that tend to treat leather poorly. Thank you for the feedback Robert!
Haven't worn it AS YET BUT THE BELT IS RUGGED AND DURRABLE WHICH YOU NEED FOR THAT BUCKLE. TORE THE O-RING ON THE FLASHLIGHT AND AM HAVING TROUBLE SIZING IT TO GET A REPLACEMENT.
We'll send you a replacement o-ring for that flashlight, expect some mail soon!
This belt is made much better than the last belt I bought the buckle is high quality.
We're glad you noticed William! We're always improving upon what we have, and we'll never stop at aiming for better things!
It was a very good choice, the belt and the buckle are very firm and appear durable. I was worried about the mechanism to secure the belt in the buckle after cutting down the belt to shorten it, but have seen that it has two extra side screws (next to the middle spikes) to additionally firm the belt.
We appreciate the review B.C!
It's not just convenient, but tough as hell too.
The Survival Belt will do far more than your average leather strap.
It's when it comes off that Slide's Survival Belt really shines.
SlideBelts isn't new to the scene, the brand has been making unique "ratchet-style" belts for more than five years.
...You're going to be prepared for your next adventure and you have a great way to hold up your pants.
Is it time to demand more from your belt?
