There is hope. Thu, Mar 15, 2018
I was watching Star Wars: The Last Jedi Tuesday night when my girlfriend delivered some awful news. I had to pause the movie and verify if it was true or whether the internet was just trolling people again. Much to my dismay, Stephen Hawking had passed away.
Mr. Hawking had a brilliant mind. He was an undergraduate of physics from Oxford university and earned a Ph. D from the University of Cambridge. He led a life of scientific discoveries and was world-famous for his understanding of the universe. He achieved profound greatness in his life in the face of overwhelming adversity. At the age of 21 years old, he was diagnosed with ALS and given 2 years to live. He defied those odds for 52 years before passing away at the age of 76.
"At first I became depressed. I seemed to be getting worse pretty rapidly. There didn't seem any point in working on my Ph. D. because I didn't know I would live long enough to finish it." - Stephen Hawking
"However bad life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at." - Stephen Hawking
"While there's life, there is hope." - Stephen Hawking
Goodbye, Mr. Hawking. Thank you.
